Asociación Argentina de Veterinaria Equina (AAVE) is Argentina’s national professional association for veterinarians working in equine medicine.

Founded in 1981, AAVE supports equine practitioners through continuing education, scientific exchange, research, and the promotion of horse welfare.

With more than four decades of activity and over 500 members, AAVE is a central pillar of equine veterinary medicine in Argentina and a recognised contributor to Latin America’s equine veterinary community.

History & Foundations

Founded in 1981, the Asociación Argentina de Veterinaria Equina was established to promote equine veterinary science during a period of rapid growth in Argentina’s horse industry, including racing, sport, breeding, and leisure.

Since its inception, AAVE has organised more than 115 scientific activities, including national and international congresses, seminars, and workshops.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the association successfully transitioned several international conferences to online formats, ensuring continued access to education and professional exchange.
