Meeting everyone was a great experience, and I was thrilled to realize that by attending the lectures and meetings, my knowledge was up to the standard needed to pass the exam of the Australian and New Zealand College.
Taking part in the Virtual Internship was extremely rewarding and has propelled my dentistry forward. The depth of knowledge we covered and succinct structure of the program was what I expected and more. The combination of reading lists and journal articles was great to cover the most important topics quickly and allowed me to us my time wisely. I recently participated in The Equine Practice Company Virtual Internship in preparation to sit my Membership Exams with ANZCVS. Veterinarian. Innovator. Passionate Educator.
Dr James is a veterinarian based in sunny Brisbane, Australia. She is passionate about equine dentistry, teaching and mentoring, business and being a positive global citizen and making a difference. She operates Australian Veterinary Equine Dentistry seeing referral surgery cases, and put together the Ultimate Equine Dentistry Package for online learning for veterinarians in 2019. More recently she launched The Equine Practice Mastermind, helping small, micro and solo equine practices improve profitability, efficiency and work-life balance.
Dr James sat her membership examinations in Equine Dentistry with ANZCVS in 2010, Diplomate with ICEVO in 2015 and undertook a residency in equine dentistry with AVDC, becoming a Diplomate in 2022. She is Past-President of the Dental Chapter of ANZCVS and current committee member of the AVA Dental SIG and AVDC Education sub-committee, and has been mentoring veterinarians in equine dentistry and business for over a decade.
