Naomi Chiero

Naomi Chiero is a highly skilled veterinarian with a specialization in equine dentistry and a growing expertise in zoo and ruminant dental care.
A second-generation veterinarian, she grew up in rural Minnesota on a beef production farm and cultivated her passion for animals, particularly horses, during her high school years.
After earning her veterinary degree from Ohio State University in 2011, Naomi Chiero completed an Equine Internship at Kendall Road Equine Hospital.
She returned to Ohio State University for an Equine Ambulatory Internship in 2013, which set the stage for her multifaceted career in equine medicine and dentistry.
Ms. Chiero served as a staff veterinarian and clinical instructor at Ohio State, guiding senior veterinary students and intern veterinarians in ambulatory practice while refining her skills in primary care and referral dentistry.
Naomi Chiero pursued her residency in equine dentistry at Ohio State University, training under renowned specialists and performing complex dental procedures.
Her extensive training includes collaborations with 12 board-certified equine dental diplomates across the U.S., as well as in Austria and England. This comprehensive exposure to diverse dental practices has equipped her with a deep understanding of equine dental health and advanced treatment methodologies.
Currently, Ms. Chiero is an associate veterinarian at Equine Veterinary Dental Services in Newark, Ohio.
Her clinical work focuses on advanced equine dentistry, and her interests extend to the dental care of zoo and ruminant species, reflecting her dedication to expanding veterinary dental expertise across multiple species.
Naomi Chiero resides in Columbus, Ohio, with her husband and two children. When not immersed in clinical work, the Ohio State University graduate enjoys gardening, baking, and contributing to the restoration of their 120-year-old home.
