WHAT YOU’LL LEARN:

Radiographic Techniques: Use standard orthogonal and flexed views, plus obliques, to assess bone, joint surfaces, and soft tissue attachments; adjust angles for optimal visualization.
Key Anatomical Focus: Identify regions prone to OCD fragments, periosteal new bone, sesamoid fractures, collateral ligament attachments, and subchondral bone changes.
Common Pathologies: Include osteoarthritis progression, subchondral bone bruising, sagittal ridge lesions, sesamoiditis, pastern arthritis, bone cysts, and collateral ligament injuries.
Clinical Application: Interpret changes in context of performance history, detect early disease to guide rest or treatment, and use imaging findings to inform prognosis and management plans.
