Best online CE available. As a solo practitioner, its hard to find up to date information after hours. This equine practitioner program allows you to watch any hour and get the latest information.

Stepping into equine practice meant making a difference, yet the rules keep changing.

New treatments, new techniques, and it feels like you’re expected to know it all, yesterday.
Of course, the real challenge isn’t your dedication or skill…It’s that the way we’re expected to learn and keep up with everything just isn’t cutting it.

I lack confidence in my general equine practice skills…
Sometimes, I’m unsure how to tackle everyday cases with the assurance I need. My imposter syndrome can get the better of me.

Applying new treatments feels like a gamble…
I often question my decisions, worried I’m not doing the best by my patients.

I can’t seem to find learning resources that fit where I’m at…
Vet school didn’t prepare me for this!..

Keeping pace with new developments feels like a race I’m losing…
Every advance in equine medicine seems to slip by me, and I worry I can’t catch up.

I’m walking this path pretty much alone…
Without a circle of mentors and peers, I’m missing out on crucial advice and case discussions to help me improve.

I’m overwhelmed by the mountain of information available, and don’t want to spend hours and hours on a single topic…
Sifting through it all to find what matters is daunting, and I often don’t know where to start. Everyone else seems to be learning more, doing more and moving faster than me.

Time is a luxury I just don’t have…
Trying to fit learning into a schedule packed with work and family obligations feels like an impossible task.

I’m questioning where my career is headed…
Without the chance to learn and be recognized, it feels like I’m stuck.

If any of this hits home, then you know how hard it can be to find equine specific continuing education and resources, when you need them.

We’ve created the Equine Practitioner’s Program to arm you with the expertise and insights our veterinary specialists and knowledgeable GP vets have gathered from decades of experience and research in general equine practice.

Our program is designed by equine vets, for equine vets. To transform the way you approach equine practice, positioning you as a leader in the equine veterinary arena.

In the Program, you’ll learn:

  • How to understand what you are seeing to elevate your confidence in offering and performing different diagnostic and treatment options for your patients.
  • Be familiar with pattern recognition (when you hear hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras!) yet learn new and better ways of managing everything our patients can throw at us.
  • How to improve the quality of care you can offer your patients so you can walk away from every. single. consult with a sense of pride in a job well done knowing that you have done your bit to improve animal welfare.
  • Massively increase your competence and confidence so you can hold knowledgeable conversations with your clients.
  • Practical and real-life application of knowledge and treatments that will work for all types of cases (especially where referral is not an option).
  • How to skyrocket personal confidence and fulfilment in a job well done (where the patient AND the owner benefits)
  • More than just clinical topics, we also have associated topics such as practice management, mindset and life skills applicable to our profession to help make positive changes to your business as an owner or an associate as well as to you personally
  • Get up to speed on hundreds of common (and less common!) clinical presentations and procedures BEFORE you need to perform them on a patient

The Practitioners Program is as easy to use and as helpful as Olivia describes in her testimonial. You simply go there, click on the topic you need, and get all the information in a quick video package, showing you how to get it done. This is especially beneficial for mixed practitioners who don’t perform all the advanced techniques every day.

The Equine Practitioners Program is as easy to use and as helpful as other equine vets mentioned. This is especially beneficial for mixed practitioners who don’t perform all the advanced techniques every day.

The Practitioner’s Program has fit my non-stop, ambulatory vet lifestyle perfectly. It is full of refreshers on fundamentals, such as lameness and imaging, and provides new and concise treatments for so many issues, like colic and wound care. I will listen to modules on my way to a case, like cardiology or dermatology and feel more confident in my approaches and treatments. In a demanding profession it is incredibly helpful to have this information readily available on such important topics. Especially with a whole community counting on me to be ready to treat any condition that walks through the barn. I am a better doctor because of this program and my patient’s care and quality of life have benefitted from it. 10/10 I highly recommend this program.
Michael Marricle DVM

The veterinary practitioners program is the best. It is relevant and provides practical information you can actually use and put into daily practice. It includes topics considered routine but too often don’t get explained in depth and this bridges that gap. As a solo mobile vet and having reduced my services and hours with maternity leave and being a mum, having useful continuing education that is easy to access has made returning to work much easier and gives me confidence. The course is constantly growing and being able to listen to it in the car through the app or stream it to the tv makes it really easy to access, especially with kids.  And I love that we get to learn from the best.
Dr. Rachel Kent  BVSc MANZCVS(Eq Dentistry)
Australia
Love the equine veterinarian practitioners program. Bite sized quality information on relevant topics by knowledgeable engaging vets. Love the search bar function, means I can quickly review a topic whilst on the way to the relevant case.
Michelle Noga DVM
Australia
As a recent graduate in a rural mixed practice this program has been a fabulous resource for that go to information. It provides up to date, concise and practical information for all things seen in the field. It has been an integral part of my knowledge base while expanding into the world of equine medicine.
Dr. Emma Swilks BGenStud(Sc) BVetBiol/VSc MAnimalSc

The Practitioners Program offers you concise snap shots of lectures that enable you to practice with confidence and clarity. The lectures are given by highly respected practitioners and the topics are wide and varied – from medicine, reproduction, disaster management, business and mental health in equine practitioners. I commonly listen to a lecture when driving between consultations and the content is engaging and encourages me to practice better medicine.
Dr. Libby Cooper BVSc/BVBio/MANZCVS (Eq Dentistry)
Australia
I love this programme so much! The equine practice company’s webinars are a fantastic resource for any equine vet. The webinars are informative, engaging, and cover a wide range of topics relevant to everyday practice. I listen to them on my way to calls, and often it’s a great refresher for procedures you don’t do very often. I’ve learned so much and feel more equipped to provide the best care for my patients. 10/10 would recommend!
Dr. Shaan Mocke BVSc MANZCVS (Eq Dentistry)
Australia
The practitioner program is great! The lectures are very in depth about a wide variety of topics. They are well written with plenty of example photos and videos. The information is very practical.
Abbey Floyd DVM

I have appreciated how straightforward the videos are so I am able to understand topics that have been challenging such as assessment of laminitis radiographs.
Dr. Gabriella Robins BVetMed
Australia
After 7 years post vet school graduation, with The Practitioners Program, I had the confidence to take the leap back into me true passion of equine medicine. The topics, presenters, and quick search guide are invaluable tools that assist me daily. I have so much more confidence knowing I have this resource in my back pocket and Dr. James is so personable and incredible which makes membership really into a community full of support. I would not have took an internship and moved my family across a few states without this program.Thank you so much to the Equine Practice Company!
Gina Leah Murray DVM, CERP, CESMT

After years of small animal only practice and time off from starting a family I decided to start my own sole vet ambulatory equine practice. My aim was mainly to offer dentistry however I quickly found there was a high demand for basic equine vet services as well. The equine practitioners program has helped me immensely with feeling more capable of offering quality care to my patients. It’s great to be able to listen to the lectures in the car on the way to a client! Highly recommend this for any equine or mixed practice vet that is seeing horses!
Dr. Mikhalla Middleton BVSc/BVetBiol
Australia
That’s the best lecture I’ve heard on heart murmurs, so good. The explanations made it so clear to understand the patterns and sounds of different heart murmurs and their origins, making me feel really confident in identifying different type of murmurs and their possible causes.
Dr Andrea Harvey BVSc PhD DSAM (Feline) DipECVIM-CA MRCVS MANZCVS (Animal Welfare)
Australia
Fabulous program, love that I can get bite sized high quality education when I have time and when I need it. Good range of topics delivered by some high class leaders in the field. As a solo mobile practitioner it has given me the confidence to tackle those tricky cases.

Dear Equine Practice Company team, I just wanted to drop a quick line and say that I am blown away by the calibre of what you’re achieving/presenting and that I am very glad that I have signed up as a member. Dr Gorvy’s recent talk on the clinical approach to wounds in horses, definitely left me keen for more! Thank you again for a doing a great job and I look forward to working my way through your plethora of topics!

In Thailand, we don’t have Equine seminars that often. In the past, If I need to learn something new I have to go abroad to attend the courses. For now, The equine practice company is my perfect choice to learn more, gain more confidence, and update my skills. Your platform is very easy to access, I can listen as a podcast when I’m on the road to the next case. Every time I have a question, The equine practice always has answers!

Each lecture is accredited for 0.5 RACE points. You can easily, at your own pace, and at a time that suits you, gain your entire year’s worth of RACE points to help with stress-free maintenance of the CE requirements of your veterinary registration. Listen while driving, watch between calls, while waiting for the client to catch the horse (!) and more!

Even better – we have added closed captions to the lectures – meaning you can watch and follow along while waiting in the supermarket queue, in the middle of the night when you are up feeding the baby or even while you are sitting on the toilet (don’t laugh, this is a proven statistic!!)

COMING SOON – a podcast version so you can listen in poor cell-service areas.

Great question!!  The speakers range from international keynote speakers to the superstars of lameness diagnostics, to imaging, surgery, sports medicine and beyond, from Drs Sue Dyson and Steve O’Grady through to Prof Chris Pollitt and Prof Virginia Reef and so much more.

Not all speakers are specialists – but ALL have been handpicked (after much deliberation) to collaborate on a program from start to finish to raise the bar on knowledge, skills and confidence in lameness in the equine practitioner. Importantly, all speakers have been selected to ensure that presentations are engaging, useful, and above all, suitable for online learning.
